Last week, concerned citizens asked the public for help after a personnel from the Antipolo City pound said dogs and cats unclaimed or not adopted from the pound would have been euthanized last Friday, November 27.

Animal lovers then quickly came to the rescue and 135 dogs and 5 cats were adopted to their fur-ever homes.

Antipolo City spokersperson and former mayor Jun Ynares said they did not schedule any dates to euthanize dogs nor did they plan on putting the dogs to sleep. “Si Mayora Andeng po is a pet lover. Maraming aso sa bahay namin,” he said on TeleRadyo last Thursday morning.
